LITTLE ROCK (4-30) 

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Fordyce to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 167, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 13^th, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 538 Green Street, in Fordyce.

     Plans call for widening Highway 167 to four lanes from Fordyce northward to Highway 273.  Two alternatives are under consideration, widening of the existing highway or constructing the highway on a new location south of County Road 138.
