AHTD TO HOLD MEETINGS FOR I-69 CONNECTOR EXTENSION STUDY


    LITTLE ROCK (6-11) 

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD), in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LA DOTD), and in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is conducting a study to determine the need for and the feasibility of extending the Interstate 69 Connector from Highway 278, near Wilmar , Arkansas , to Interstate 20 in Louisiana.

     As part of this study, two public meetings have been scheduled.  The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 25th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Economic Development Foundation, 125 Main St reet , in Crossett , Ark ansas .

     The second meeting will be Thursday, June 26th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bastrop Municipal Center , 1901 Moeller Dr ive , in Bastrop , Louisiana .  Both meeting locations are ADA accessible.

     The public meetings will be identical in content and will be conducted in an open house format.  There will be no formal presentations.  Citizens can stop by anytime during the stated hours to ask questions, comment on the need for the Interstate 69 Connector Extension, review the preliminary findings of the study and provide additional input for the study. 

     Representatives of the AHTD, Louisiana DOTD and the consultant preparing the study will be at the meetings to answer questions and receive comments.
