IMPROVEMENTS ON HIGHWAY 67/167 REQUIRE LANE CLOSURES

    LITTLE ROCK (7-28)

Construction on Highway 67/167 at the Brookwood Exit in Sherwood is close to completion and the improvements are scheduled to open to traffic this week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will open the northbound off ramp of Highway 67/167 at Brookwood and the Brookwood Flyover, which will provide a direct connection to the Brookwood/Kiehl/Brockington area, this Thursday morning, July 31st.

The work will require a lane closure on the northbound frontage road ( Landers Road ) in that area between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. as crews prepare to open the off ramp.

In addition to the modifications at Brookwood, the northbound Kiehl Exit in Sherwood will be closed Thursday morning, July 31st, in order for crews to make improvements at that location.  The northbound Kiehl Exit will be closed at 6:00 a.m. and will reopen at 11:00 a.m.  Motorists exiting Highway 67/167 will use the new Brookwood Exit while the Kiehl Exit is temporarily closed.
