    The Ark ansas St ate Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Paris to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 22, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 14^th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Six Mile Creek Primitive Baptist Church , located at 8301 Highway 22, in Paris.

     Plans call for adding two sets of passing lanes on Highway 22, one eastbound and one westbound.  The passing lanes will be located between Paris and the Franklin County line.

      The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.  For more information, contact the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department’s Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
