LITTLE ROCK (8-8) 

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Hot Springs to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 128, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 21st, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hot Springs Christian Church, located at 1010 Shady Grove Road , in Hot Springs .

     Plans call for widening 0.3 miles of Highway 128 ( Carpenter Dam Road ) to five lanes.  The improvements would begin at the Martin Luther King Expressway (Highway 270) and extend southward to Shady Grove Road .
