LITTLE ROCK (9-4) 

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Hatfield to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 71, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held on Thursday, September 11th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hatfield Baptist Church, located at 4802 Highway 71 South, in Hatfield.

     Plans call for adding approximately 1.5 miles of passing lanes to Highway 71 between Highway 246 and County Road 16.
