     The Ark ansas St ate Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Alpena to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 412, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held on Thursday, September 18th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Alpena Community Center/City Hall, located at 107 Highway 62 East, in Alpena.

     Plans call for adding eastbound and westbound passing lanes to approximately two miles of Highway 412, between Alpena and Carrollton . 

      The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.  For more information, contact the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department’s Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
