LITTLE ROCK (9-29)

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Central City to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 22, according to AHTD officials.

     Plans call for widening Highway 22 to five lanes, extending from Highway 255 eastward to Highway 96. 

     The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 7th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, located at 12 W. Central Avenue , in Central City.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.  For more information, contact the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department’s Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
