LITTLE ROCK (11-20) 

    The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement meeting in Brinkley to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 49, according to AHTD officials.

     Plans call for widening approximately one mile of Highway 49 to five lanes, from Interstate 40 northward to its intersection with Highway 17.

     The meeting will be held on Thursday, December 4th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brinkley Convention Center , located at 1501 Weatherby Drive, in Brinkley.
