LITTLE ROCK (11-26) 

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Marianna to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 1, according to AHTD officials.

     Plans call for widening 1.8 miles of Highway 1 to four lanes beginning near the Marianna city limits on the south edge of town and extending southward.

     The meeting will be held on Thursday, December 11th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Lon Mann Cotton Research Station, located at 3121 Highway 1 South, in Marianna.
