LANE CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR INTERSTATE 530 BYPASS

LITTLE ROCK (4-14) Crews working on the new interchange on the I-530 Pine Bluff Bypass, will restrict traffic next week beginning on Saturday, April 18, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials. Weather permitting, workers will be installing steel beams for new interchange ramps over I-530. Over the weekend, workers will restrict traffic on I-530 to one lane in each direction between Exit 43 (Highway 63) and Exit 46 (The Pines Mall Interchange). Complete roadway closures will occur intermittently for up to 15-minutes. The work will continue on Monday with closures only during off-peak hours - no closures will occur from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. or from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays. As always, motorists are urged to use an alternate route if possible and to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
