| The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) requires data to develop national highway financing trends. The state also uses the data to reflect state trends and identify local highway needs and funding strategies.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation is charged with the responsibility of gathering, summarizing, and submitting to FHWA a composite of local governments’ revenues and expenditures.
